A responsive website: why the page must work mainly on mobile
Look at the analytics of almost any website and you’ll see that most people browse the internet on a phone today. If your site doesn’t look and work perfectly on mobile, you lose customers before they even discover what you offer.
What “responsive” means
A responsive website adapts itself to the screen size — on a phone, tablet or large monitor. Text is readable without zooming, buttons are comfortable to tap with a finger, and nothing overflows off the screen.
Why Google cares
Google primarily evaluates websites by their mobile version. A page that’s broken or slow on a phone drops in the search results. So responsiveness isn’t just visitor comfort — it directly affects whether people find you.
How I handle it
I design every website for mobile and desktop from the start and test it at different sizes. The result is a page that looks perfect everywhere — from a small phone to a 4K monitor.
